What is an embedded wireless charger?

An embedded wireless charger fits into a prepared opening in a desk, table or countertop. The phone rests on the exposed charging face, while the power connection stays beneath the surface. Depending on the model, it may be described as built-in, in-table, recessed or flush-mounted.

For furniture manufacturers, fit-out contractors and hospitality buyers, the key is matching the charging unit to the opening, underside clearance, electrical supply and everyday use.

Installation planning

Design the opening and the space beneath it together.

A neat fit starts with the complete assembly. Send a drawing or the dimensions of your furniture so we can review the charging unit, fixing method and power connection as one installation.

01

Opening & fixing

Share the cutout diameter, surface thickness and preferred mounting method. Keep room for the flange and fixing hardware.

02

Space below the surface

Allow for the charger body, connector, cable bend and access for servicing. Check drawer and cabinet clearances.

03

Power & temperature

Specify the available power supply and ventilation. Higher output needs a thermal design suited to the enclosure.

04

Phones & environment

List the intended phones and cases, installation location, cleaning routine and any spill-resistance requirement.

From brief to rollout

Make the requirements clear before scaling up.

01

Define the project

Send the furniture dimensions, installation environment, target phones, quantity and launch date. Tell us whether you need a standard unit, branding changes or custom development.

02

Evaluate the configuration

Agree on the electrical and mechanical requirements, then test a sample in your intended surface. Check alignment, temperature, charging performance and service access.

03

Confirm the supply plan

Finalize the specification, packaging, testing requirements and commercial terms. MOQ and lead time are confirmed against the agreed configuration and order quantity.

Embedded wireless charging FAQs

What is an embedded wireless charger?

An embedded wireless charger is a charging unit installed into a cutout in a desk, table or countertop. Its charging face stays accessible at the surface, while the body and power cable sit below. It is also called a built-in, in-table or recessed wireless charger.

How is embedded charging different from an under-table charger?

An embedded charger needs a cutout and provides a visible charging face. A Stealth under-table charger mounts beneath a non-metal surface and transfers power through the material. Choose embedded charging when you want an integrated charging point and can machine the surface; choose an under-table model when keeping the surface intact is a priority.

Can you make Qi2 or 25W embedded wireless chargers?

Yes. ONEPOINTECH can discuss custom embedded designs targeting Qi2 magnetic alignment and up to 25W wireless charging. Feasibility, output, thermal performance and certification depend on the final design. The concept drawings on this page are starting points for an OEM brief, not products available to order.

What cutout size and mounting depth do I need?

Use the drawing for the exact model and configuration you order. Check the cutout diameter, top flange, body depth, fixing mechanism, surface thickness and cable clearance together. Confirm the final installation drawing before machining production furniture.

Will every phone charge at the maximum advertised power?

No. Actual charging power depends on the phone, its supported charging protocol, the power adapter, alignment, case and temperature. For a Qi2 25W project, agree on the target phones and test the complete charger, adapter and enclosure together.

Can I buy a standard embedded wireless charger directly?

Yes. Our built-in wireless charger collection includes a 15W recessed charger and a pop-up desk charger with 5W / 7.5W / 10W wireless charging and two USB-A ports. Visit the linked product pages for pricing, available options and checkout. For bulk orders or a custom design, send an OEM inquiry.

Can I contact you before I have a finished design?

Yes. Start with your application, approximate quantity and a sketch or dimensions if available. Tell us whether you prefer a flush insert, an angled dock or a modular charging layout. We can discuss the requirements before you finalize the furniture design.

What can be customized for furniture or hospitality projects?

Tell us your requirements for the housing, finish, branding, mounting arrangement, charging power, input connection, cable length and packaging. We review the requested combination against installation, thermal and electrical requirements, then define the configuration and quotation.

What are the MOQ, lead time and certification requirements?

These depend on the selected model, degree of customization, order quantity and destination market. Send your expected quantity, target date and required standards with the inquiry so they can be addressed in the quotation. Any Qi or Qi2 certification claim must apply to the exact final product configuration.
